UK Lingua, a languages conference where primary, secondary and university practitioners all meet up and share ideas, is back on 27th and 28th April 2019. The theme is "Culture in the language classroom" and the call for paper is out: please apply to present by 18th January! I am one of the organisers and we would welcome more contributions from primary practitioners.
The NPLS (Northern Primary Languages Show) is back again - once more in York - on Saturday 1st December. The programme is nearly complete and follows the established pattern of plenaries, workshops, exhibition , lunch, refreshments and networking. Booking is open here.
ALL Primary Hub: a FREE and supportive meeting of people with an interest and/or role in primary languages. Monday 19th November, 4.15pm-5.30pm at St Mary's RCVA Primary School, Blackhill, Consett, DH8 8JD. All welcome! Partir en Livre in Consett! This is a French celebration of children's books and I will be taking part by reading French stories, for free, at my bus on the following dates. Feel free to come along! Find out more details here.

Sunderland ALL Primary Languages Hub on Wednesday 20th June at St Paul's CE Primary, Waterworks Road, Ryhope, Sunderland SR2 0LW, 4.15-5.30pm; I will be talking about using stories in lessons.
The Language Magician training, Monday 11th June in Consett and Tuesday 19th June in Spennymoor: I will be running these training events to help you get started with this amazing free game which is also an assessment and progression tool.
