Now that the summer is here, I thought I would get together some books which I think are great to use when the weather is nice… but can be used all year too!
In no particular order…
1) “La bonne douche”, by Pascal Teulade & Michel Backès, Éditions Lito
Is there anything nicer than a cold shower when the weather is hot? Actually, I hate cold water! You can read here about Potiron le cochon having fun with his friends and water on a warm day.

2) “Bambou et son ballon”, by Véronique Calle & Zaü, Nathan
Balloons can provide hours or fun, indoors and outdoors. Are cats their friends though? Find out in this cute story where resourcefulness is key!

3) “L’âne Trotro fait du vélo”, by Bénédicte Guettier, Gallimard Jeunesse
Trotro is having great fun riding his bike and letting go of his hands… You may guess what happens next but you can’t guess the end! This is definitely a Trotro favourite.

What is summery about this book is its originality, guaranteed to brighten up any day!

5) “La famille Ohé – c’est lui!”, by Oliver Jeffers, l’école des loisirs
Getting on can be hard in the summer when so much play is being had outside and in the holidays when lots of time is spent together. Learn about getting on better with this funny story!
