  Come and join us for this FREE one-day event to find out more about FL literacy, creativity and challenge!
  We have three inspirational guest speakers:  Bernadette Holmes – Born Global, Dawn Alexander Joseph – Hackney Learning Trust – Primary Languages Coordinator and Clare Seccombe – Lightbulb Languages and FL practitioner.
  You can also join workshops led by SUPL teachers exploring FL literacy practice: phonics, graded readers, authentic texts and writing.  We can offer all attendees free access to an online French and Spanish resources bank.
  Lunch and afternoon tea are included.  Numbers are limited.

• A special conference for all schools in the region to celebrate primary language learning will be held at Beamish hall Hotel on 9 July. Attendance is FREE. • Invitation to ALLNE schools from Linguacuisine, Newcastle University.
  Linguacuisine invites teachers to bring a group of pupils (key stage 2 or 3 – max. of 32) for a free  session next half-term in the Digital Kitchen and in the Languages Resources Centre. The combined visit lasts between 2 hours and 2hrs 30.
  Some funding is available to support transport by bus.
  Pupils will use the Linguacuisine app to learn a vocabulary set, cook a dish and eat it. The chef’s recommendation is to try the French crêpe recipe as pupils can manage to cook and eat one during the visit. Other languages and recipes are possible, but the crêpes are a tried and tested favourite – first come, first served!
