EU Funded Week Long Spanish and French Immersion Courses for Primary and Secondary Staff
Over the past six years, hundreds of UK schools have accessed European Erasmus+ funding to send school staff (teachers, TAs, Head Teachers, and other staff) to Spain or France on ClaroGB one week intensive language learning, language teaching methodology, teaching ideas and cultural activity courses.
Many have also spent time in French or Spanish schools allowing them to build lasting links with European colleagues.
This exciting opportunity is open to primary and secondary school staff with any level of language from absolute beginners to confident speakers as participants are grouped for language lessons according to ability.
ClaroGB supports schools to apply for the grant and accompanies each group when in Europe. Where schools apply for funding for courses in France and Spain we also support the application for funding for German and Italian courses too.
There is just one application form per school and the application can cover ‘up to 100’ people from one school.
Courses take place throughout the year, most half terms, Easter and some term time dates.
The grant covers the following:

  • Course fees and activities
  •  Hotel accommodation
  • Meals
  • Travel

ClaroGB is a training provider run by Alison McGregor. Alison is a qualified teacher and language advisor, experienced in running these EU funded training programmes in Europe.
If you or anyone in your school might be interested, please email us before 30th November 2020 for more information.

ClaroGB courses get consistently great reviews from participants, who come back from our courses with more skills, more confidence, and more enthusiasm for language development in their schools:
“I would definitely recommend this course to others as I now feel more confident in my own ability to speak and teach the language, and I understand the culture better. The week has been very well organised with a variety of activities to suit everyone”. JP
“It has been a fantastic experience that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I feel I have come a long way this week and feel I can build on what I have learned. The cultural experiences have been wonderful, a good variety of activities. A well organised week. I have gained so much from it and would certainly recommend it to others”. CB
